Solar Efficiency

LEMA™ uses a state-of-the art solar reflective film and a specialized lamination process to create it’s parabolic mirror. The result is a very low cost and highly efficient solar concentration system whose mirror is capable of focusing 98% of the sun’s energy onto the water being treated.

An innovative heat exchanger transfers excess energy out of the treated water into the untreated water thus pre-heating it. This allows LEMA™’s to achieve a coefficient of performance (COP) well above 1. This also causes the temperature of water leaving the system drop to a far less dangerous level then the near boiling temperature achieved during the pasteurization process.
